About

Hi, I’m Amanda Buehler, OTR/L—Occupational Therapist, parent coach, and mom of three.

When my oldest child was diagnosed with autism at age two, I stepped into the world of sensory needs and nervous-system regulation in a whole new way. I’d already completed pediatric rotations in hospitals and schools and was working in an outpatient ABA clinic—but living it as a parent changed everything.

I saw first-hand how little support caregivers receive while juggling meltdowns, therapy wait lists, and well-meaning but generic advice. I knew families needed more than a list of sensory tools—they needed a road map for everyday life and a partner who truly understands.

That’s why I created The Rooted in Regulation Family Method—a coaching program that helps overwhelmed, loving parents of neurodivergent children:

  • Identify the real sensory triggers
  • Prevent and navigate meltdowns with confidence
  • Build calm, connected daily rhythms that work in real life

My approach is practical and compassionate, grounded in occupational therapy and co-regulation science, and shaped by my own parenting journey.

I know what it feels like to be stuck, exhausted, and wondering if anything will ever change. You deserve more than quick tips or endless appointments. You deserve clarity, confidence, and a plan that fits your family.

Let’s create a calmer, more connected home—together.
